bPay Band

This concept by barclays was launched at Wireless Festival 2013. The band would allow users to assign their debit / credit cards into their wristbands and purchase items at the festival, including food and alcohol. The concept uses contactless technology so no pin number of signature is needed, making transactions fast and efficient. Because there will be no need to carry your wallet, this band eases the worry of potentially losing it. At a kiosk, you can top up your bPay band with up to £30 at a time. The band allows users access to exclusive bars which run faster than those which change is given. The bands also allowed you to pay for premium toilets. The band can be synced with , letting users check in to areas located around the festival and post via social network.

The only problem that i see with digital money is how easy it is to spend. whereas hard cash can be difficult to give away. Good idea never the less.
